FAQ

Where do I find a list of current open positions?

All of our current openings (staff, administrative, faculty) can be found in the Career Opportunities section of the Human Resources web site.  Click on the Career Opportunities link in the left-hand navigation menu under Prospective Employees to access our applicant portal.

How do I apply for a position?

When viewing the job posting you are interested in, click on the Apply link and enter your email address.  If you have already created an account, the system will ask you for your password.  If you have not created an account, you will need to create one at that time.  All interested applicants must complete an online Mercer employment application for a current open position through our application website.  We do not accept resumes unless they are submitted as part of the online application.

Do I have to complete an online application if I submit a resume?

Yes, however, you will be given the opportunity to upload a a resume during the application process.  Depending on the file format of your resume, the system may be able to parse the data and pre-fill some of the application fields for you.

What is the status of my application?

You can view the status of your application by logging in to the applicant portal with your email address and password.  After logging in, you will see a list of all of your current applications along with the associated status for each.

How long is my application kept on file?

Your application remains with the specific position opening for which you applied.  However, you will need to log in to the online system and apply for any future open position of interest.  You will be given the opportunity to edit your application and upload new documents before applying for another position.
